CHANDNI GULATI

Completed schooling from Modern School Barakhamba Road. Graduated from College of Art, New Delhi with Painting specialisation. She is the founder of Merakii Art House an Art Curator along with a practising Visual Artist.

Painting for Chandni has always been an expression, a throw of emotions, a medium that portrayed her state of mind or the situations that she was surrounded with. Most People react to situations in a way they are conditioned, She wants to attempt to break those perceptions and get the real feelings out through her canvas because she feels that the most wonderful things lie in the most ordinary. That beauty lies in the simplicity of the most basic daily activities that we tend to overlook or take for granted. She paints what she thinks, making her art extremely personal. The basic idea behind any artwork is CONNECT - if you lack connection with your work there will be zero satisfaction, and thus my artwork is liberating for me.

Chandni has participated in over 25 Art exhibitions in India and curated 12 art exhibitions in Delhi and Mumbai. She was awarded A gold medal from The International Women's Organisation, UNICEF in 2010 for her painting.

She was also awarded the Keshav Malik Memorial award for the Student of the year in the final year of college.

She was also considered as the youngest art curator in India in 2018
